This is especially for the Ladies
A thorough clean rids your complexion of build-up and dirt. Skin therapist Jocelyn Petroni gives us her tips.
Cleanse. Use an oil or cream cleanser as they remove make-up and dirt best, as well as dissolve surface impurities.
Cleanse again! The first has cleansed make-up and dirt—the second cleans your skin. A foaming formula works well here.
Exfoliate. This stimulates skin cells and unblocks pores. Remove product with hot face-towel compress so the heat can soften pores ready for extraction.
Optional extractions if needed—but be careful! Only extract if a pimple looks like it’s starting to heal. Squeezing too early will only stimulate the existing sebum.
Mask. If your skin is dry, apply a creamy mask. Oily skin with breakouts should go for a clay- based mask. For sensitive skin, apply a layer of aloe vera gel. Place cotton pads over your eyes and relax.
Tone, then moisturise your face and apply eye cream and an SPF.
