Facebook has made a dramatic change to its profile page recently with the introduction of Timeline.

The Timeline is designed to be a scrapbook of sorts.

Through the Timeline, you can now share your life story and photos from any point in your life, from the time you were a baby right up until you became an adult, started your career, got married and had a family.

The Facebook Timeline allows users to post their life events more easily now when compared to how things appeared on the old personal profile.

Previously, manual entry of the details was required. With the Life Event section in place, it is a lot faster to add your stories and photos in just a few clicks.

How to Add a Life Event on Your Facebook Timeline

To share past stories, just go to Life Event, located below your Profile picture on your Timeline.

You’ll also notice that the option to add this part will appear in the top right hand of your status toolbar when you scroll down past your cover photo. A menu will pop down. Here, it is situated beside Place.

When you click on Life Event, a drop down menu will appear with five main categories – Work & Education, Family & Relationships, Home & Living, Health & Wellness as well as Travel & Experiences.

Each category has sub-categories to make it more specific when you’re sharing your life stories.

For every sub category, there’s a basic template that you need to fill out with information such as the type of event (this one may vary though), location, date, the person or people you’re with and your story.

In addition, there’s a section where you can upload your images related to this particular part of your life.

You have two options when uploading photos. You can either choose from your existing album or upload a new one from your computer or other sources.

When you’re done providing the information and uploading your images, just click save and immediately, this section will be updated.

How to Add a Unique Life Event

If you want to add a unique event, you can do so by choosing the Other Life Event option from the sub category menu.

A new pop up box will display which you then need to fill in with your desired information.

Once done, just click the Save button.

With the Facebook Timeline, you can be more creative in sharing the milestones in your life.

But the Mona Lisa was at the centre of a new mystery yesterday after art detectives took a fresh look at the masterpiece – and noticed something in her eyes.

Hidden in the dark paint of her pupils are tiny letters and numbers, placed there by the artist Leonardo da Vinci and revealed only now thanks to high-­magnification techniques.

Experts say the barely distinguishable letters and numbers represent something of a real-life Da Vinci code.

The revelation could have come straight from the pages of Dan Brown’s best-seller The Da Vinci Code, in which the Mona Lisa is said to contain hidden clues about the Holy Grail.

Silvano Vinceti, president of Italy’s National Committee for Cultural Heritage, which spotted the symbols, said: ‘To the naked eye the symbols are not visible but with a magnifying glass they can clearly be seen.

‘In the right eye appear to be the letters LV which could well stand for his name, Leonardo da Vinci, while in the left eye there are also symbols but they are not as defined.

‘It is very difficult to make them out clearly but they appear to be the letters CE, or it could be the letter B.

‘In the arch of the bridge in the background the number 72 can be seen or it could be an L and the number 2.

‘You have to remember the ­picture is almost 500 years old so it is not as sharp and clear as when first painted.

‘From the preliminary investigations we have carried out we are confident they are not a mistake and were put there by the artist.’

The search was initiated by another Dan Brown-style plot device after a fellow committee member discovered a musty book in an antique shop ­referring to symbols in the Mona Lisa’s eyes.

Mr Vinceti added: ‘Da Vinci put a special emphasis on the Mona Lisa and we know that in the last years of his life he took the painting with him everywhere.

‘We also know that da Vinci was very esoteric and used symbols in his work to give out messages.

‘Who knows, they may even ­possibly be a love message to the ­figure in the painting.’

Mr Vinceti is a member of a group which is seeking permission to exhume da Vinci’s remains from his tomb at Amboise Castle in France’s Loire Valley.

They want to see if the artist’s skull is there so that they can try and recreate his face and establish if the Mona Lisa – owned by the French government and on display in The Louvre – is in fact a twist on a self-portrait of the artist as some believe.

The technique was recently taken out of the laboratory and tested on a small group of adults whose dentist had spotted the initial signs of tooth decay. The results from this small trial have shown that P 11-4 can indeed reverse the damage and regenerate the tooth tissue.

“The results of our tests so far are extremely promising,” said Professor Paul Brunton, who is overseeing the patient testing at the University of Leeds Dental Institute. “If these results can be repeated on a larger patient group, then I have no doubt whatsoever that in two to three years time this technique will be available for dentists to use in their daily practice.”

“The main reason that people don’t go to the dentist regularly is fear. If we can offer a treatment that is completely non-invasive, that doesn’t involve a mechanical drill, then we can change that perceived link between dental treatment and pain.
